A regular meeting of the Board of Directors was called to order by President Nejedly at 1:30
p.m. Secretary of the District Katie Young called roll.-

1. Approve the following:
a. October 4, 2018 Board meeting minutes

2. Adopt Resolution No. 2018-032 authorizing (1) execution of a real property
agreement for property located at 4085 Los Arabis Drive in Lafayette, and
(2) recording of the agreement with the Contra Costa County Recorder
3. Adopt Resolution No. 2018-033 (1) accepting a Grant of Irrevocable offer of
Dedication of a sanitary sewer easement as related to Cascara Canyon (Shell
Avenue) Sewer Project, Job 5430, located in Martinez; and (2) authorizing staff to
record the resolution with the Contra Costa County Recorder
4. Adopt Resolution No. 2018-034 (1) accepting offers of dedication of sanitary sewer
easements as depicted on various subdivision maps as related to several Gale
Ranch Sewer Projects, Jobs 5834, 5487, 5496, and 6497, located in San Ramon;
and (2) authorizing staff to record the resolution with Contra Costa county Recorder
5. Authorize the General Manager to execute a $51,000 amendment to a consulting
services agreement with Bartel & Associates, with a cost ceiling not to
exceed $150,000, to provide actuarial services through October 27, 2021
BOARD ACTION: Motion was made by Member Causey and seconded by Member
Pilecki to adopt the Consent Calendar as recommended. Motion passed by
unanimous vote of the Board Members present [4-0-1; Williams absent].

1) Public workshop scheduled for October 23, 2018 regarding Danville
Sewer Renovation Project, Phase 3, District Project 8455
2) Staff to attend Public Risk Managers Association Institute in west
Palm Beach, Florida
3) Member McGill re-elected to California Local Agency Formation
Commission (CALAFCO) Board
4) Central San outreach in support of Water Professionals Appreciation
Week (October 6-14) and Imagine a Day Without Water(October 10)
General Manager Roger S. Bailey made the following announcement at the
meeting:
5) Mr. Bailey announced that he will be away from the District
October 23-26, 2018 participating in the American Water Summit
in Philadelphia

6) Central San's first 3600 video was recently recorded by Media
Production Technician Joe Zumbo entitled H eadworks Maintenance —
A 360 ° Behind the Scenes Look. Communications and
Intergovernmental Relations Manager Emily Barnett and Information
Technology Manager John Huie previewed/demonstrated the video on
various mobile devices for those in attendance, after which Ms. Barnett
explained how Central San intends to utilize this new technology going
forward.
Member Causey suggested using this video apparatus in conjunction
with claims regarding backflows.
No further announcements were made during the meeting.

7. Counsel for the District
District Counsel Kent Alm announced that a mediation was held yesterday in the
matter of Settle v. Central Contra Costa Sanitaty District et al. Contra Costa County
Superior Case No. MSC 17-01691.
8. Secretary of the District
Ms. Young announced that she will be away from the office October 22-24, 2018
attending the California Special Districts Association Board Secretary/Clerks'
Conference in Tahoe.
She also announced the following upcoming Committee meeting:
