ISSUE
A resolution of the Board of Directors is required to accept offers of dedications of sanitary sewer
easements as depicted on subdivision maps to convey any real estate property interest to Central San and
to record the resolution with the Contra Costa County Recorder.

BACKGROUND
With several Gale Ranch Sewer Projects, Jobs 5834, 6487, 6496, and 6497, located in San Ramon,
Developer, Shapell Industries, Inc., a Delaware Corporation, constructed public sanitary sewer mains
within sanitary sewer easements. To provide the necessary land rights to the public sewer mains, the
Developer offered to Central San sewer easements on various subdivision maps as listed on Exhibit A of
the attached resolution.
As the sewer mains were constructed and accepted per Central San's standards, staff recommends the
Board accepts these offers of dedications of sanitary sewer easements at this time.
The Board historically accepts easement offers from subdivision maps by resolution. Upon acceptance
and recording of this resolution, Central San will have the necessary land rights for the reconstruction,
maintenance, and operation of these public sewers constructed with several sewer jobs.
ALTERNATIVES/CONSIDERATIONS
None.
FINANCIAL IMPACTS
The offers of dedication of sanitary sewer easements, as depicted on various subdivision maps, were
acquired at no cost to Central San.
COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION
This matter was not reviewed by a Board Committee.
RECOMMENDED BOARD ACTION
Adopt a resolution: (1) accepting the offers of dedication of sanitary sewer easements as depicted on
various subdivision maps as stated in Exhibit A of the attached proposed resolution from Developer,
Shapell Industries, Inc., a Delaware Corporation, as related to several Gale Ranch Sewer Projects, Jobs
5834, 6487, 6496, and 6497, located in San Ramon; and (2) authorizing staff to record the resolution with
the Contra Costa County Recorder.

ACCEPTING OFFERS OF DEDICATIONS OF SANITARY SEWER EASEMENTS AS
DEPICTED ON VARIOUS SUBDIVISION MAPS AS RELATED TO
SEVERAL GALE RANCH SEWER PROJECTS
JOBS 5834, 6487, 6496, AND 6497
THAT ARE LOCATED IN SAN RAMON, AND
AUTHORIZING THE RECORDING OF THIS RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Developer, Shapell Industries, Inc., a Delaware Corporation, with several Gale
Ranch Sewer Projects, Jobs 5834, 6487, 6496, and 6497, located in San Ramon,
constructed public sanitary sewer mains as listed on Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, the Developer, who is also the property owner, offered sanitary sewer
easements to Central Contra Costa Sanitary District (Central San) via various subdivision
maps; and
WHEREAS, the sewer mains were constructed and accepted per Central San's standards,
staff recommends the Board of Directors accepts these sanitary sewer easements.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of Central San as follows:
THAT Central San hereby accepts the easement offers as stated in various subdivision maps
filed with the Contra Costa County Recorder, which are more specifically referred to as Final
Maps that are described in Exhibit A; and
THAT staff is authorized to record this resolution with the Contra Costa County Recorder.
