SUBJECT: UPDATE ON THE 2018 POLLUTION PREVENTION, RECYCLED WATER,
AND WATER QUALITY COMMUNITY PARTNER AWARDS
In conjunction with National Pollution Prevention Week, Central San every year honors businesses for their
exceptional efforts to go beyond compliance to minimize water pollution and protect the environment.
Since the pollution prevention awards program was initiated in 1992, Central San has recognized nearly
150 local businesses.
As in recent years, Central San will provide awards in the categories of pollution prevention, recycled
water, and water quality community partners. The list of awards winners is attached.
The winners will be presented with their awards at Sustainable Contra Costa's annual Leadership in
Sustainability Awards Gala held at the Pleasant Hill Community Center on September 20, 2018.
