CO CO SAN SUSTAINABLE FARM 3) Staff Time Charged to CoCo San Sustainable Farm/AgLantis Project The Board has directed staff to track its time related to the CoCo San Sustainable Farm Project and to generally refrain from incurring further costs on the Project. The May 2018 Financial Statements (included as Item 3 of this agenda packet) include an amount of $9,133 for staff time in May attributable to the Project. A portion of this staff time related to the preparation of a site-specific Title 22 Engineering Report to be submitted to the Division of Drinking Water for the proposed Farm Project. In accordance with 22 CCR §60304, the use of disinfected tertiary recycled water for the surface irrigation of food crops, including all edible root crops, where the recycled water comes into contact with July 5, 2018 Regular Board Meeting Agenda Packet- Page 164 of 195 Page 3 of 3 Written Announcements July 5, 2018 Page 2 of 2 the edible portion of the crop, is required to have a report prepared and submitted. Central San prepares such a report for all the Zone 1 and recycled water customers. Additionally, at the Board's direction, staff prepared a comprehensive memorandum for discussion at the May 17, 2018 Board meeting to accompany the AgLantis 2017 Annual Report and 2018 Business and Strategic Plan. The memorandum was prepared to facilitate a discussion related to the performance of the Farm relative to the Lease terms. The staff time to prepare for that discussion comprised the majority of the May charges. At the Board's direction, staff has devoted time to preparing comparison tables related to the Farm Project for discussion at this meeting (see Item 11) to assist the Board in providing direction to staff to determine if the work completed by AgLantis is acceptable and meets the intent of the performance goals described in the Lease. For this reason, the monthly financial statements for June will also include charges for staff time attributable to the Farm Project. July 5, 2018 Regular Board Meeting Agenda Packet- Page 165 of 195
