The program's vision is to have the greatest level of impact on behavioral change as it targets Central San's youngest customer base with important information on pollution prevention, wastewater operational processes, and how understanding their behavior impacts facilities (Example -Wipes Clog Pipes). We have been testing this program both with children of Central San employees, including at the most recent Bring a Child to Work Day as well as in two service area school classrooms. As part of this multi-pronged educational program and the corresponding outreach, Central San will be highlighting our new program characters on four Central San vehicles including two trucks used for performing pipe integrity checks using cameras, and two Honda pool vehicles. The vehicle wraps outreach is important to help engage students in pledging to protect pipes and waterways, and to spark interest from parents and teachers in our new in-classroom program. The vehicles will be completed and used in the service area by the end of this fiscal year. The Board Members will have an opportunity to see first-hand two of the new vehicle wraps immediately following the June 21, 2018 Board meeting. The total amount of the final invoice was $50,700, $6,950 above the maximum amount allowed under the agreement, which is why an amendment to the agreement was also submitted. Both the additional invoiced amount and the agreement amendment are within the General Manager's authority; however, as the Board chose to approve the original agreement in the spirit of cooperation, noting a dispute over CalTrans' interpretation of the right of way, staff recently provided an informational memo to the Administration Committee prior to the General Manager executing the amendment. The work on the project was accepted by the Town Council in January 2018. Central San staff in the Planning and Development Services Division inspected the work during construction. OUT-OF-STATE CONFERENCE ATTENDANCE 3) Employees to Attend the 2018 National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) Conference in Boston, Massachusetts from July 22 — 26, 2018 The District recently received notification that it has earned the NACWA Platinum Peak Performance Award for 20 consecutive years of 100 percent National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit compliance.
