SUBJECT: CONDUCT BIENNIAL REVIEW OF BOARD POLICY NO. BP 021 - SOCIAL
MEDIA COMMUNICATION
Attached is a copy of current Board Policy No. BP 021 - Social Media Communication, which is being
presented to the Committee for its biennial review.
Staff has no recommended changes to the existing policy. If the Committee concurs, the policy will
remain as is and be reviewed again in two years. However, if the Committee recommends changes, the
policy will be brought to the full Board for consideration of any proposed revisions.

SOCIAL MEDIA COMMUNICATION
PURPOSE
To establish a policy on the use of social media as a District communication tool.
POLICY
The Board of Directors supports the use of social media as one of many tools to further
enhance communication between the District and its customers.
