RECYCLING FACI LITY PROJ ECT
Staff would like to share the following updates with the Committee on the Diablo Country Club (DCC)
Satellite Water Recycling Facility (SWRF) Project:
CEQA Open House Meetings
• Two Community Input Open House sessions were held on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at DCC, to
receive public input on the SWRF Project.
• Each session had approximately 15 members of the public in attendance, most of which were
members or golfers.
• Many questions were answered by Central San and DCC staff present, but there was no apparent
opposition to the project and nearby neighbors in attendance were supportive of the proposed
location of the SWRF facility.
• Comment letters were received from the Town of Danville and Contra Costa County's Environmental
Health Department. The Town of Danville was particularly interested in obtaining more project design
details.
DCC Program Manager Hired
• Bert Michalczyk, retired Dublin San Ramon Services District General Manager, has been hired by
DCC to facilitate the project on its behalf moving forward.

Design -Build Request for Proposals (RFP) Delayed
• DCC has delayed the due date for receiving proposals for the Design -Build team.
• They are currently evaluating the best timing to call for proposals.
CEQA Schedule
• The current target for completion of the environmental review process is Spring 2018.
• This schedule is dependent on the timing of the Design -Build RFP, since certain project details
need to be known in order to adequately evaluate environmental impacts and mitigation measures.
