Dedication of Public Roads and Offer of Dedication of a
Drainage Easement. Saint Mary's Road, Moraga Area
Portion of Di trict property to be in County Road andDrainage

2. BAand Company, Civil and Subdivision Engineers are in
the process of filing the map of Subdivision 4150 and are requesting
this 'Districts Consent and .Dedication of Public Roads and Offer of
Dedication of a Drainage Easement. That portion of Districts property
effected is shown on page 2 and 3 of said Subdivision map. This is
County's policy, prior to approval of Subdivision maps.

DATION: Approve and execute said Consent and Dedication and
offer of Dedication. Inasmuch as this is County policy, we are obliged
to approve and execute said Dedications.

SUBJECT: Execute Quit Claim Deed, which affects Wildwood Lane and
Parcel 106, L.I.D. #4, Pleasant Hill BARTD Station
PROBLEM: District was required to relocate its facilities to accom-
modate BARTD alignment. District in turn requested new easement from
BARTD.
2. BACKGROUND:: District requested new easement over BARTD Pleasant Hill
Station to accommodate our existing facilities (see Map of D.S.P. 1698,
Parcel 1, attached). However, prior to BARTD's granting of said easement
they request we Quit Claim our existing rights; see Map 4, Parcel
106, and BARTDIs right of way maps. attached.
, RECOMMENDATION: Execute Quit Claim Deed

Execution of Easement Agreement between Southern Pacific
Transportation Co. and this District, at no cost,
District Sewering Project 2016, near Bishop Lane,
Walnut Creek.
: District desires to install an 18" sewer line which crosses
oad right-of-way.
2. UND: District requested an Easement Agreement to install.an
Sewer Line which crosses tAiroadright-of-way. This installation
will eventually coincide with the installation of a 48" sewer line which
is to be installed in the San Ramon Creek Channel. Said Agreement to
be extended if construction does not commence within one year from date
Agreement is completely acknowledged.
. RECOMMENDATION: Approve and execute Easement Agreement.

Pedersen's-property, He indicated that bus original survey notes dated
January 1951, (copy available. at the Uoard Meeting) propose that the
sewer line through the Pedersen property be located 2-1/2 feet offthe
lot line between Lots 1Z and 19.
At Mr. PederseWs request the sewer line was moved to the easterly ide
of theexisting fence as shownon the attached map.

2. BACKGROUND: We were authorized these two positions in this year's
budget. Glenn Switzer and Dallas Hughes finished at the top of the
examination. The positions are in the T.V. and hi -velocity cleaning
machine operations.

PROBLEM:
,On two or more occasions a main line stoppage has o rfioed
in the Rossi residence.
2. BACKGROUND: The sewer system serving the Rossi's went in in 1951,
We do not have plans, profile or easements for this job. The ROSSilS
location is such that they suffer when the main malfunctions. I
stgest we expend some maintenace and survey time and investigate
the existing system and alternative sewer routings.

Purchase of M.S.A. Air Mask
P B, We have"one air mask in the department. We should have
one avUab1e for each crew that might have to enter a gasatmosphere
for rescue. Three units would equip our Rodding crews.
B UND: M.S.A. was low bidder on a state contract. They can
ply the District at the state cost of $262.40 as against $421.90
Our total cost would be $787.20. This is a non -budgeted item
and would require an authorization,
3. ALTE : Make no purchase.
4. RECOMMENDATION: We should take advantage of this cost break and
purchase units.

Quit Claim Parcel 1 Job No. 1964 and accept new Grant of
Easement Job No. 1964 Parcel 1R-1, Moraga Rd., Rheem area.
. PROBLEM: A1im- nt revised, requiring abandonment of Parcel 1 Job No. 1964
and acquisition of new easement, Parcel 1R-1 Job No. 1964, is required.
2. BACKGROUND: A rough draft of the Grant of Easement Job No. 1964 Parcel 1
was submitted to us for approval of context and form. It was found to be
satisfactory and returned to Lucky Stores, to prepare the final document
for acceptance by the Board of Directors. It was not returned for accept-
ance a4, Title Insurance and Trust Company recorded the Grant of
Easement. The property has since changed hands and the alignment of
the original easement has been revised and a new Grant of Easement has
been submitted for acceptance by our Board of Directors.
3. RECOMMENDATION: Inasmuch as we do have a record interest in the original
Grant of Easement, it is recommended that we. Quit Claim same and accept
the new Grant of Easement at no cost to the. District.

SUBJECT: Request approval of Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement
with Flood Control District on DSP 1997 in San Ramon Creek
in Walnut Creek and approval of $7,000.00 deposit for
right of way acquisition.
PROBLEM: We have concluded a Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement,
subject to Board approval, with the Flood Control District. A
deposit of $7,000.00 is required and will cover description, preparation,
drawings, appraisal, acquisition, processing, administrative costs and
associated engineering costs.
