That portion of Districts property effected is shown on page 2 and 3 of said Subdivision map. District in turn requested new easement from BARTD. 2. BACKGROUND:: District requested new easement over BARTD Pleasant Hill Station to accommodate our existing facilities (see Map of D.S.P. 1698, Parcel 1, attached). Horstkotte, Jr. - General Hanager-Chief Engineer Execution of Easement Agreement between Southern Pacific Transportation Co. and this District, at no cost, District Sewering Project 2016, near Bishop Lane, Walnut Creek. : District desires to install an 18" sewer line which crosses oad right-of-way. 2. UND: District requested an Easement Agreement to install.an Sewer Line which crosses tAiroadright-of-way. This installation will eventually coincide with the installation of a 48" sewer line which is to be installed in the San Ramon Creek Channel. Said Agreement to be extended if construction does not commence within one year from date Agreement is completely acknowledged. . RECOMMENDATION: Approve and execute Easement Agreement. BACKGROUND: We were authorized these two positions in this year's budget. Glenn Switzer and Dallas Hughes finished at the top of the examination. The positions are in the T.V. and hi -velocity cleaning machine operations. . RECOMMENDATION: Approve appointment. BACKGROUND: The sewer system serving the Rossi's went in in 1951, We do not have plans, profile or easements for this job. The ROSSilS location is such that they suffer when the main malfunctions. I stgest we expend some maintenace and survey time and investigate the existing system and alternative sewer routings. 3. ALTE ATIVE: No alternative 4. We should have one avUab1e for each crew that might have to enter a gasatmosphere for rescue. Three units would equip our Rodding crews. B UND: M.S.A. was low bidder on a state contract. They can ply the District at the state cost of $262.40 as against $421.90 Our total cost would be $787.20. This is a non -budgeted item and would require an authorization, 3. PROBLEM: A1im- nt revised, requiring abandonment of Parcel 1 Job No. 1964 and acquisition of new easement, Parcel 1R-1 Job No. 1964, is required. 2. BACKGROUND: A rough draft of the Grant of Easement Job No. 1964 Parcel 1 was submitted to us for approval of context and form. It was found to be satisfactory and returned to Lucky Stores, to prepare the final document for acceptance by the Board of Directors. It was not returned for accept- ance a4, Title Insurance and Trust Company recorded the Grant of Easement. The property has since changed hands and the alignment of the original easement has been revised and a new Grant of Easement has been submitted for acceptance by our Board of Directors. 3. RECOMMENDATION: Inasmuch as we do have a record interest in the original Grant of Easement, it is recommended that we. Quit Claim same and accept the new Grant of Easement at no cost to the. Horstkotte, Jr. - General Manager -Chief Engineer SUBJECT: Request approval of Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement with Flood Control District on DSP 1997 in San Ramon Creek in Walnut Creek and approval of $7,000.00 deposit for right of way acquisition. PROBLEM: We have concluded a Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement, subject to Board approval, with the Flood Control District. A deposit of $7,000.00 is required and will cover description, preparation, drawings, appraisal, acquisition, processing, administrative costs and associated engineering costs.
