SUBJECT: Consent to Joint Use of Exclusive Easement
1. PROBLEM: Pacific Gas and Electric Company desires to install
underground electrical service within a portion of our exclusive
easement (LID 52-3 Parcel 4).
2. BACKGROUND: On the 25th day of February, 1971, the Members of the
Board of Directors approved the above mentioned Consent to Joint
Use of Exclusive Easement. However PG&E has requested we make a
few minor revisions in the wording, as shown in red on the copy
attached hereto and made a part hereof. These revisions will not
affect the contents of the agreement.
3. ALTERNATIVES: a. Reapprove said Consent Agreement
b. Deny approval
4. RECOMMENDATION: Approve said Consent Agreement as per original
request. See Memorandum, dated February 8, 1971, attached hereto.

SUBJECT: Agenda Item
1. PROBLEM: Execution by this District of Consent to Dedication of
Public Roads Agreement.
2. BACKGROUND: A 10 foot in width easement was conveyed to Central
Contra Costa Sanitary District and recorded July 23, 1963, in
Volume 4413 of Official Records, at page 391. (D. S. P. 1212)
Bryan & Murphy - Civil Engineers are in the process of filing
a Parcel Map for Minor Subdivision 161-70 and are requesting sub-
ordination of our easement to all roads lying within said subdivision.
This is Contra Costa County's policy, prior to approval of
subdivisions.
3. ALTERNATIVE: a. Approve and execute said Consent Agreement
b. Deny
4. RECOMMENDATIONS: Approve and execute said Consent Agreement.
Inasmuch as this is County policy, we are obliged to approve said
Agreement.

SUBJECT: Sewer system deficiencies

March 2, 1971, which. listed 5 projects needed,. to correct, serious
system. delicie.cies. Studies have since beencompleted on another
small project which has been a continual maintenance, problem due
Lo inadequate grade and the project (job 1977) has bee . added to
the priority list. Inaddilion, the Bollinger Canyon sewerwhich
was constructed, in 1966-61 wader ti 48 as. the largest septic tank
drain field in, the County has been the subject of some scrutiny
by. the. Regional Water Quality Control, Board over the past year.
There has been no failure but we have had to sealoff one section
because gound water pressurewas greater than that within the pipe.
The line did ac oally overflow' RrIns to the •Isolatfon, of the ground
water pressure area- As a. result, management has had. the extension
of this sewer down. the canyon on a priority list, for over a y^aar®
When the s tveys wereperformed for the extension of this watershed
sewer along Crow Canyon Road for Shell Oil, we co•pletea the con-
necting work up Bollinger Cany n in preparation for an extension
of that sag' ent. With the Water Quality Control. Board interest,
we biaieve that this project is necessary te insure ag lust possible
citation and adverse publicity. The cost f the project is ree'Ner-
able from Watershed. 33 South_
