Ad3aurp to October 2, 1947. MEMO: TO BOARD MEMBLRS September 18, 19k7 The Sanitary District Bonds were received from A. Carlisle and Company on September 10, and the signed and sealed bonds were delivered to the County Treasurer on September 15. Air. George Herrington examined an executed bond on September 12 and furnished his opinion of the validity of the bonds on September 17. The Bank of America accepted delivery of the bonds of Sept- ember 17 and deposited the purchase price premium and accrued interest with the County Treasurer. The County Treasurer advised that he is depositing 41,800,000 in the Sewer Construction Fund of the Sanitary District. He is further depoditing the premium of 42,649 and the accrued interest payment of 413,O39.7 in the Bond Fund of the Sanitary District. Funds are on deposit so that the District may now proceed with the award of construction contraots and may charge engineering expense, land purchase, etc., against the Sewer Construction Fund. The sub&tviders of a small subdivision north of Walnut Creek have requested our concurrence in installation of sanitary sewers (only) in their subdivision in order that these may be installed in advance of paving of the street. A community disposal unit is not involved and our Ordinance o, 1 is not applicable to this situation. The Board may wish to consider the adoption of an interim ordinance covering this situation since it will probably arise with other subdiv, ders prior to the time when collection sewers may be installed under Local improvement Districts. As matters now stand we have no regulations covering this work. Other matters for consideration are shown in the Agenda for meet i g of September 18. JOHN L. MASON
