4. Pass resolution accepting office bulling and directing recordation
of Notice of Completion. Mr. Littlejohn has filed a letter stating
that the work of the contract of Anderson Haglund is complete. Mr.
Brailsford advises that Notice of Completion must be recorded in
order to comply with current statutes.
Pass resolution accepting the work of Section II of the Main Trunk
Sewer contracted by Manuel Smith and directing the recordation of
Ndt i.ce of Completion. See District Engineer's certificate of comple-
tion and final estimate of this contract. The contract used 26 days
more than specified and liquidated damages have been assessed as
specified in the contract in the amount of $520.00.
Various creditors of Manuel Smith have advised of their intention to
file claims or stop orders for payment of unpaid accounts. Mr.
Brailsford advises that these claims may be filed with the District
and that the final payment of $192875.60 may not be released. to Manuel
Smith until such claims have been satisfied, The total amount of
such claims that have reached the attention of the Resident Engineer
is approximately $112000.002 so it appears that the funds still due
Manuel Smith would fully satisfy al]. claims.

At the meeting of August 19 the Board authorized the District Manager
to engage the necessary personnel subject to the approval of the Board
in each case. The first two .men listed above reported for work on
September 1st, and the other three men are a7,aiting call to report
immediately when sewage is turned into the trunk sewers. It is re-
quested that the Board approve the employment of this personnel to be
directly employed by the Sanitary District.
It is recommended that the Board authorize payment of the salaries of
District employees semi --monthly.
8. Authorize use of personally owned. automobiles by District employees
as necessary, with mileage at 7,S per mile. This will particularly
apply to deputy sewer inspectors. Authorize the Secretary to cover
the District and the employees by Public Liability and Property Damage
insurance for the use of personally owned cars while on conducting of
District business. This policy should also cover any District ow wined
auto. lotive equipment Rs such equipment is secured.

June 3, 1947. Mr. Brailsford has resolutions on hand,
Pass resolutions in their proper order for Local Improvement District
No. 5 (Hidden valley Area). Plans and specifications and all other
details are complete for processing this job, which. project is a
relatively small one and which may be undertaken with the possibility
of completion before wet weather would interfere with the construction.
Messrs. Brailsford and Mason have the necessary resolutions at hand.
Authorize payment of 1500 to C.
lease Oxidation Pond Site.
Approve payment of bills.
