Call Meeting to order Chair McGill called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m. 2. Public Comments None. 3. Consider proposed new Central San logo designs and provide direction to staff to proceed with implementation of new logo Before presenting the proposed logo designs, Ms. Barnett reminded the Committee that comprehensive research conducted by FM3 indicated that customers do not typically make a connection between the services provided by Central San and who provides those services. She explained that the current logo is more than 50 years old. Given everything the Board has done in recent Administration Committee Minutes May 25, 2017 Page 2 years in terms of innovation and progressive thinking, the current logo is: outdated and may no longer represent where the District is headed. In developing the new proposed logo designs, thought was given to the process of wastewater treatment, recycled water, and showcasing the District as innovative. Before distributing the proposed logo designs, lolls. Barnett explained that they are proprietary and quite often stolen, which is why there were not A ncluded with the packet. she distributed the two proposed logo designs in print, which indicated what each would look like in various mediums (newsletters, business cards, letterhead, vehicle signage, clothing, etc.). Both are considered more contemporary than the current logo, and should be for a long time to come. Member Williams agreed that the current logo appears outdated and the proposed logo designs look more modern. The Administration Committee discussed both proposed logo design options and provided input to staff. They agreed to postpone making any recommendation to the Board for the time being. COMMITTEE ACTION: Requested that the proposed logo design options be revisited at a future meeting. 4. Review Gantt chart of activities leading up to 2017 Labor Negotiations COMMITTEE ACTION: Reviewed the Gantt chart, 5. Announcements a. Future scheduled meetings: Tuesday, June 0, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. b. with regard to SB 100 (100% Clean Water Measure), lolls. Barnett noted that the Board took a support position on the bill at the fast Board meeting. Unfortunately, the amendment that the California Association of Sanitation Agencies (CASA) and other wastewater agencies had pushed for on biomass and biomethane has been removed by the author. Ms. Barnett will continue working with CASA and the other agencies to try to put the amendment forward again. An update will be provided at next week's Board meeting. C. Mr. Bailey announced that recent lab test results of hydrogen chloride emission (HC1) samples at the treatment plant exceeded the allowable limits under Regulation 129. This is a fairly new requirement as HC1 levels Administration Committee Minutes May 20, 2017 Page 3 are not routinely monitored, and the results cane as a surprise to staff. The test results have been reported to the Bay Area Air Quality Management District. 0. Suggestions for future agenda items None. 7. Adjournment -- at 4:07 p.m.
