PROJECT WORK DISTRIBUTION
Staff does not recommend postponing or rebidding the Project
due to:
Coordination with impacted residents, extensive project
outreach already done
55% of Project on private roads or easements
- 45% on public rights of way
Of the 8,400 linear feet of sewer replacement:
17% is coordinated with City paving
35% complies with Riverwatch Agreement (near or at
creeks)
5% is coordinated with CalTrans and other agencies
permits

STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS
Recommended Board Action:
1. Find that the Project is exempt from the California
Environmental Quality Act (CEQA);
2. Award a construction contract in the amount of$3,288,000
for the construction of the Lafayette Sewer Renovations,
Phase 11, District Project 8430, to K.J. Woods Construction,
Inc., the lowest responsive and responsible bidder; and
3. Authorize the General Manager to execute the Contract
Documents subject to submittal requirements and include up
to five-percent contingency.
