Update on the Asset Management Program
Element B: CMMS Replacement
• CS, ReW distribution, & Fleet are live on the new system
• Mobile pilot in progress (Strategic Goal 6, Strategy 1, Initiative 1)
• Treatment Plant, Pumping Station, and facility assets will "go live" in late January
2017
Element 2b: Complete Asset Register for Pump Station and Treatment Plant Assets
• Pumping Stations: inventoried, tagged, updated the asset registry
• Treatment Plant, Pumping Stations, CSO, Martinez Campus: added "features" to
the GIS for basins, buildings, channels, fences, gates, storage tanks, structures
Element 3a: Reliability Centered Maintenance Pilot
• Objective: establish a framework for CCCSD to improve maintenance efficiency
and functional reliability of assets (Strategic Goal 5, Strategy 1, initiative 3)
• Pilot #1 dewatering system's centrifuges — complete
• Pilot #2 steam system's waste heat boilers — in progress
• The Senior Engineer for Reliability Engineering will develop a plan that prioritizes
implementation of RCM to other system over the next several years.
• Staff will also incorporate an RCM by Plant Maint staff into the Design Review
SOP for Capital Projects.
Element 6b: Condition Assessment of Treatment Plant and Pumping Station Assets
• Staff completed the condition assessment of pumping station assets and
provided the data to the consultants for use in the Master Plan (CWMP).
Element 6d: Consolidate CCTV Databases
• An agreement has been executed with IT Pipes to replace the CCTV software,
and migrate all legacy data into the new system; completion expected by end of
this year
Element 10: Program and Proiect Management Standards
• Will be contracting for consultant services to evaluate and determine the
functional requirements for a program management system for Engineering
• Expect to have system selected by Spring 2017
• Then solicit proposals for implementation services; with the new system to be live
by end of 2017
Element 11: Asset Commissioning and Handover
• Working with Capital Projects Division to modify the master specs regarding
format of O&M manuals to facilitate electronic document access through
GeoPortal (GIS) and Cityworks.
