currently under recruitment, after which the IT department will y be fully staffed � 1 RECOMMENDATION #1 : ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE (CONTINUED) • Garden Level area of the District's Headquarters Office GOVERNANCE • Formal charters have been developed, including an IT Leadership Committee, which meets monthly to help define priorities and recommendations to executive staff 5 RECOMMENDATION #3: BUSINESS APPLICATION IMPROVEMENTS • Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) in Plant Operations Division (POD) and Collection System Operations (CSO) nearing completion Lo Website vendor support in improving the following systems: Human Resources (HR) — employee self-service functionality, email notifications, FMLA tracking and automation of personnel action forms Purchasing — electronic workflow a Report writing to improve the dissemination of I nformation to Board Members and staff 4 04/13/16 RECOMMENDATION #3: BUSINESS APPLICATION IMPROVEMENTS (CONTINUED) • Accounts Payable — electronic funds transfer of payments to vendors and expense reimbursement to employees • Billing system improvements to ensure accurate commercial billing, circulating, and processing • Building Permits — online submittal of permit applications, application tracking, and use of mobile technology for performing field inspections • Potential improvements to Capital Project accounting, including the California Uniform Construction Accounting, which would raise the limit of formal bidding r District projects from $15,000 to $175,000 RECOMMENDATION #4: BEST IT SERVICE DELIVERY
