Review revised draft Board Policy No. BP 019 — Recycled Water Chair Williams noted that not all of the filter plant was funded with grant monies and suggested a softening of the language in the background section in this regard. He also queried how long the 1985 agreement should serve as the basis for recycled water projects going forward. Instead, he preferred to focus on the fact that California routinely experiences severe droughts and recycled water is a resource that can provide an additional water supply. As owners of that resource, there is a desire to implement cost-effective projects for its utilization. Member McGill acknowledged that one of the reasons the District recycles as much water as it does is because it has made this commitment under the settlement agreement.
