Q . / Board Meeting of February 18, 2016 Written Announcements: OUT-OF-STATE/COUNTRY TRAVEL BY EMPLOYEES a) Communication Services & Intergovernmental Relations Manager to Attend California Association of Sanitation Agencies (CASA) Legislative Conference in Washington D.C. from February 22-24, 2016 Communication Services & Intergovernmental Relations Manager Emily Barnett will travel to Washington D.C. to participate in the California Association of Sanitation Agencies (CASA) Federal Legislative Conference from February 22 through February 24, 2016. She will hear from members of Congress and the Environmental Protection Agency on issues relevant to CASA, and proposed legislation and regulations that could affect the District. The cost of this conference is included in the Fiscal Year 2015-16 Technical Training, Conferences and Meetings Budget. b) Electrical Technician to Attend Battery Maintenance and Testing/Hands-On Training in Wilsonville, Oregon, from April 25- 29, 2016 Electrical Technician Steve Diethelm will attend Battery Maintenance and Testing / Hands-On Training presented by the AVO Training Institute from April 25 through April 29, 2016, in Wilsonville, Oregon. His attendance is included in the Fiscal Year 2015- 16 Technical Training, Conferences and Meetings Budget. c) Finance Manager to Attend Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Annual Conference in Toronto, Canada, from May 22-25, 2016 Finance Manager Thea Vassallo will be attending the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) 110th Annual Conference, which will be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto, Canada, from May 22 through May 25, 2016. This conference will provide Ms. Vassallo the opportunity to connect and build relationships with thousands of public finance professionals from around the country, share ideas, develop technical and managerial skills, earn credits toward her CPE certification, and view new products. The cost of this conference was included in the Fiscal Year 2015-16 Technical Training, Conferences and Meetings Budget.
