HomeMy WebLinkAbout03. Strategic Planning Board Workshop3.
Central Contra Costa Sanitary District
November 6, 2015
TO: HONORABLE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD
FROM: ROGER S. BAILEY, GENERAL MANAGER
SUBJECT: STRATEGIC PLANNING WORKSHOP
We are currently in the second year of our two -year Strategic Plan which ends June 30,
2016. As part of the process of preparing an updated Strategic Plan for Fiscal Years
2016 -17 and 2017 -18, we are taking a fresh look at the District's current Mission, Vision,
Values and Goals (MVV &G) (see Attachment 1) and would like the Board's feedback
during the November 6 Workshop.
With all the changes and accomplishments of the past couple of years, it is important to
revisit the MVV &Gs to assure their relevance and alignment with the future focus of the
District. Staff has been working with consultant Larry Bienati in this regard. The
proposed changes (see Attachment 2) are presented as a starting point for discussion.
We believe these changes take a more people- centric and humanistic approach than at
present.
Staff will bring the updated MVV &Gs to the Board for adoption at a future meeting.
Once finalized, staff will begin preparing appropriate strategies, initiatives and
associated key performance indicators to support the updated MVV &Gs.
We look forward to working with you at the Workshop, for which Mr. Bienati will serve as
facilitator.
