• District Purchases Natural Gas from Shell Energy

• General Manager is Authorized to Pre - Purchase
Natural Gas through December 2017
- $6 per MMBtu Limit
• Pre - Purchasing Works Well - Allows Staff to React
to Market with Checks and Balance System

• Approximate Natural Gas Consumption of
1,200 MMBtu /Day for the Treatment Plant
• Natural Gas Usage
- Cogeneration: - -1,000 MMBtu /day
- Auxiliary Boilers: -200 MMBtu /day
