Mike,
Thanks for the call back and the explanation/ the hold up makes no sense. Seal the clean water pipe and use your stuff
to irrigate.
I have sent the following to the water district:
To Joesph Campbell, Lisa Borba
With the hyper attention on drought issues and the Base Redevelopment I have referenced the recycled water project
down Diamond Blvd. to alleviate fears and to stress our commitment to making the recycle water concept a reality.
I was at the Board of Supervisors today to cheer on the Hilton for their Green Award.
You can imagine my disappointment ( *annoyance) when I was told that it has not been turned with the pipeline totally
in place but not working.
I understand from Central Sanitation that the issue is a requested Backflow protection device which cleverly does not
allow water to flow from the purple pipe to the irrigation under enough pressure to make things work.
Please ditch the whole back flow connection. Seal off the clean water supply to the irrigation completely and let the
recycle water be the only pipe to take care of the water.
Can you give this a priority fix and what can I do to help make this happen as we all need this to be a star project of
how we are going forward.

Mike,
Whatever, we are selling the whole County on the use of purple pipes and we are investing millions for the Base.
This has to work and work fast and clean without finger pointing or licking or whatever goes on. Fix it please... pretty
please with a cherry on top.

I think it has to do with a backflow protection device but I will check and get back to you.
We want to get this service active.
