RESOLUTION COMMENDING TERRY SHOAFF
FOR HIS CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE
ONGOING SUCCESS OF THE
CENTRAL CONTRA COSTA SANITARY DISTRICT
WHEREAS, Terry Shoaff was a dedicated volunteer to the East Bay Leadership
Council for many years, and served as Executive Vice President of the Council
since July of 2007; and
WHEREAS, under the direction of Terry Shoaff, the East Bay Leadership Council
provides opportunities for businesses, agencies, and elected officials to work
collaboratively on significant financial, infrastructure, health, educational, and
environmental issues; and
WHEREAS, while Terry Shoaff served as the East Bay Leadership Council's
Executive Vice President, the Council's Water Task Force worked to improve
water quality and reliability and increase the water supply for Contra Costa
County water users by monitoring and encouraging cooperative water supply
programs by water and wastewater utilities in Contra Costa County, and
promoting the increased use of recycled water in Contra Costa County and the
Bay Area; and
WHEREAS, with his leadership, the Workforce Development & Education Task
Force of the East Bay Leadership Council endeavored to improve workforce
preparation by strengthening the partnerships between industry and education,
public agencies and community -based organizations; and
WHEREAS, Terry Shoaff's involvement in the East Bay Leadership Council
helped to promote and foster a better understanding of the educational issues
common to business and the education community, to identify common initiatives
that will increase the supply of well - qualified workers; and
WHEREAS, through his efforts, CCCSD's participation in the East Bay
Leadership Council has provided the District opportunities to better meet its goals
of being an innovative and fiscally responsible organization that protects the
public health and the environment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Terry Shoaff is hereby commended
for his distinguished service during his tenure with the East Bay Leadership
Council resulting in improved collaboration between business, individuals, and
government to the benefit of the entire East Bay Area.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of April 2015, by the Board of Directors of
the Central Contra Costa Sanitary District by the following vote:
