ISSUE: A resolution of the Board of Directors is required to accept-an easement
relocation agreement and to record the document.
RECOMMENDATION: Adopt a resolution accepting an easement relocation
agreement with Pacific Gas and Electric Company and authorizing staff to record the
documents with the Contra Costa County Recorder.
FINANCIAL IMPACTS: The Pacific Gas and Electric Company easement relocation
agreement had a $500 application fee.
ALTERNATIVES /CONSIDERATIONS: None.
BACKGROUND: As part of the Martinez Sewer Renovations Project, Phase 4 (District
Project 8415), the District will install and rehabilitate approximately 10,000 feet of 6- and
8 -inch sewer pipe by open cut, pipe bursting, horizontal directional drilling, and pilot
tube guided boring construction methods.
The existing sewer alignment on the PG &E strip off Alhambra Way and Castro Way is
located under trees. After careful evaluation of the existing alignment, it was decided to
relocate the alignment from the edge of the PG &E strip to the middle. Board action is
needed to accept the easement relocation agreement.
RECOMMENDED BOARD ACTION: Adopt a resolution: (1) Accepting an easement
relocation agreement related to the Martinez Sewer Renovations, Phase 4, District
Project 8415, from Pacific Gas and Electric Company; and, (2) Authorize the recording
of the document with the Contra Costa County Recorder.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CENTRAL CONTRA COSTA SANITARY DISTRICT
ACCEPTING AN EASEMENT RELOCATION AGREEMENT
RELATED TO THE MARTINEZ SEWER RENOVATIONS, PHASE 4
DISTRICT PROJECT 8415
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Central Contra Costa Sanitary District
(District) as follows:
THAT the District hereby accepts an Easement Relocation Agreement (Sewer Purposes)
from Pacific Gas and Electric Company related to the Martinez Sewer Renovations, Phase 4.
THAT the President of the Board of Directors and the Secretary of the District are hereby
authorized to execute said documents for and on behalf of the District; and
THAT staff is authorized to record the documents in the office of the Recorder of Contra
Costa County.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of March 2015, by the Board of Directors of the District
