BAILEY, GENERAL MANAGER FROM: THEA VASSALLO, FINANCE MANAGER( -J -� SUBJECT: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REQUESTED REGARDING EXPENDITURE TO QUANTUM CORPORATION At the October 27, 2014 Finance Committee meeting, Chair Causey requested additional information in relation to Check #202176, dated 10/2/14 for $2,936.00 to Quantum Corporation. He asked whether the tapes referenced on the Check Register were backup tapes. Per Information Technology (IT) Administrator Roy Li, the expenditure was for annual hardware support and maintenance renewal for the tape drives which are part of the District's backup and recovery process. These existing tape robotic drives and single drives are used to back up some of the servers' data onto tape for offsite storage. TV: cg
