Lessons Learned
• Staff will start:
— Tracking costs associated with the "public relations"
aspect of capital projects (the costs of contacting
customers before, during and after construction).
— Tracking survey costs (currently a part of design
costs).
• Staff is assessing its approach to property
acquisitions and right -of -way procedures.
• Finally, staff is looking at ways to refine the
scope of various renovation projects.
