MEMO FOR: THE HONORABLE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

SUBJECT: AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR DISTRICT SEWERING PROJECT 3170 AND
AUTHORIZE $1,539,100.00
BACKGROUND: Advertising for bids was authorized by the Board on 6-21-79.
Eight bids were received August 8, 1979. A low bid of $1,042,768 was
submitted by CONCO-BPA Enterprises. A tabulation of bids is attached.
District staff estimates the total cost of the project at $1,981,958.
(See attached post bid pre -construction estimate) An amount of $442,858
has been authorized to date, leaving a balance of $1,539,100 to complete
the project.
RECOMMENDATION: Award contract to CONCO-BPA Enterprises and authorize
the amount of $1,539,100 to cover the balance required for the contract
construction contingencies and incidentals and rights-of-way.
