HomeMy WebLinkAbout05.a.1) (Handout) General Manager Additional Written AnnouncementsVia./ Board Meeting of April 3, 2014 (bland ou.� Additional Written Announcements: RECYCLED WATER g) Buchanan Fields Golf Course Reimbursement Agreement for Concord Landscape Project, District Project 7299 The Concord Landscape Project constructed about 2.3 miles of new recycled water distribution piping and approximately 1,300 linear feet was constructed through privately owned Buchanan Fields Golf Course (BFGC). As the project would disturb hardscapes and damage vegetation, the District and BFGC executed a right of entry agreement that stated the District would pay for all damages not to be restored by the contractor (fairway and practice greens), and applicable lost profits. In the March 21, 2013 position paper, staff had estimated the cost for these two items to be $162,000. As the construction management team and the contractor, Platinum Pipeline, successfully mitigated impacts to the golf course, the agreed upon total price was $85,000, which was memorialized in an executed reimbursement agreement. PERMIT COUNTER h) Delinquent Charges for Second Living Unit at 3382 Johnson Road, Lafayette, Paid in Full On September 5, 2013, the Board agreed to the request of property owner, Mrs. Nancy Martin, of 3382 Johnson Road in Lafayette to place the delinquent charges for connection of a second living unit on the County tax roll for collection in five annual installments. Staff placed the first installment on the Fiscal Year 2014 -15 tax roll and filed a certificate of unpaid charges on the parcel to secure the balance of the charges in the event of the sale of the property. The property has now been sold and the remaining delinquent charges were paid to the District out of the proceeds of the sale. Staff is filing a release of the certificate of unpaid charges.
