BOEHME, SECRETARY OF THE DISTRICT (2�& VIA: ROGER S. BAILEY, GENERAL MANAGER SUBJECT: 2014 BOARD CALENDAR Attached is the draft Board Calendar for 2014. Please note the following highlights: • In January the Board meetings will be held on the second and fourth Thursdays to avoid conflict with the CASA conference. • The Financial Planning and Policy Workshop will be held as part of the second meeting in February. • As in prior years, an additional Board meeting has been scheduled in April to accommodate the Capital Projects Workshop. • There will be three Board meetings in July because the first meeting in August was moved up to the last day of July in order to allow time for sewer service charges to be fully calculated when the Board authorizes placing them on the tax roll prior to the early August deadline set by the County. Thus, there will be only one Board meeting in August, on the second Thursday. • A two -hour biennial Ethics Training session has been scheduled for December 11. ■ The Capital Improvements Budget Planning Workshop will be held as part of the second regular Board meeting in December. Please note the following key meeting dates for 2014: February 20 BOARD WORKSHOP — Financial Planning and Policy April 10 BOARD WORKSHOP — Capital Projects (Capital Improvement Budget /10 -Year Capital Improvement Plan (CIB /CIP)) June 5 Adopt O &M, Self- Insurance, and Debt Service budgets and CIB /CIP July 31 Authorize placing SSC on tax roll (4 votes required) December 18 BOARD WORKSHOP — CIB Please let me know if you have any comments or concerns regarding the proposed calendar.
