HomeMy WebLinkAbout06.a.1) General Manager Written Announcements6R. /) Board Meeting of August 1, 2013 Written Announcements: Out -of -State Training a) CSO Employees to Attend Vactor Training in Illinois The Vactor line of equipment is at the heart of the District's Collection System Operation (CSO) maintenance program. In the previous fiscal year the District purchased a new combination vacuum /jet - rodder truck at a cost of $378,000, with new technology at its core. Two vehicle and equipment mechanics, who were hired over the past year and a half, would benefit from hands -on training from the manufacturer's training academy. CSO Vehicle and Equipment Mechanics James Ramirez and Fernando Dominguez will travel to Streater, Illinois, to attend the Vactor Mechanic's Training School from August 11 to 16, 2013 and September 15 to 20, 2013, respectively. The cost of this training was included in the Fiscal Year 2013 -14 Collection System Operations Training and Travel Budget. Change of Address for Concord Staff b) Address of Temporary Concord Offices Will Change Effective August 3, 2013 For the duration of the Seismic Improvements for Headquarters Office Building (HOB) Project, staff has been temporarily relocated to various buildings. Some employees have relocated to a leased office building in Concord (1470 Enea Circle). On May 15, 2013, the District received notice that the property owner would be changing the address to 1470 Executive Lane. Staff was recently notified that this change will take effect August 3, 2013. The new address for District staff at this location will be: 1470 Executive Lane, Suite 200, Concord.
