ISSUE: A resolution of the Board of Directors is required to accept a grant of easement
and execute a quitclaim deed and record both documents.
RECOMMENDATION: Adopt a resolution accepting a grant of easement and
executing a quitclaim deed and authorizing staff to record the documents with the
Contra Costa County Recorder.
FINANCIAL IMPACTS: $3,725 will be paid for a new permanent easement at 49
Longridge Road, Orinda.
ALTERNATIVES /CONSIDERATIONS: None.
BACKGROUND: Public sewers were installed on the
properties on Barbara Road, Orinda in 1951 and 1976.
The District has recorded easements in gross over the
locations of some of its existing sewers on the
properties and some of the existing sewers on the
properties lie outside of recorded easements. Staff
negotiated new grants of easements to clarify and
expand the District's rights over its existing sewers and
quitclaim and abandon existing easements where our
sewer does not exist. There are a total of eight parcels
related to the Barbara Road project. Seven easements
have already been acquired.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CENTRAL CONTRA COSTA SANITARY DISTRICT
ACCEPTING A GRANT OF EASEMENT — SEWER PURPOSES FROM
CHRISTOPHER CHUA AND LARA CHUA AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION AND
RECORDING OF A QUITCLAIM DEED TO CHRISTOPHER CHUA AND LARA CHUA
THE PROPERTY OWNER AT 49 LONGRIDGE ROAD, ORINDA
APN: 273 - 063 -060 (JOB 2645 — PARCEL 1 -A2R)
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Central Contra Costa Sanitary
District (District) as follows:
THAT the District accepts the Grant of Easement (Sewer Purposes) from Christopher
Chua and Lara Chua and consents to the execution of the Quitclaim Deed to
Christopher Chua and Lara Chua, the property owner of 49 Longridge Road, Orinda
(APN: 273 - 063 -060 (Job 2645 — Parcel 1 -A2R); and
THAT staff is authorized to record said documents in the office of the Recorder of
Contra Costa County.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1 st day of August 2013, by the Board of Directors of the
