Emergency Repair Timeline
• April 19 - DAF Tank No. 1 failed
• May 2 - Board authorizes emergency repairs
• May 3 - Repair Work Begins
• June 10 - DAF Tank No. 1 back in service

• Started contingency capital project for evaluation
and design
• Inspected DAF Tank Nos. 2 & 3 for future work
scope
• Minor repairs made by Plant Maintenance
• Maintenance will replace original drive on DAF
Tank No. 2. (planned prior to failure of DAF No. 1)
• Will return to the Board with a recommended
improvement project

Estimated Costs
• Currently Authorized = $250,000
• Estimated Contractor /Vendor Costs = $175,000
• District Engineering/Inspection costs being
tracked as part of DP 7298, TP Piping
Renovations, Phase 7. Estimated at $50,000.

• Receive the report
• Terminate emergency DAF tank repair
situation in accordance with Public Contract
Code 22050(c)(3)
