Influent pumps located below grade Final Effluent pumps located below the P &B Building 2 Interim Project - 2007 • Desilted lower section of Walnut Creek mainly along CCCSD property j (40,000 cy of soil) • Raised western levee of Walnut and Grayson Creeks Final Project — 2013 to 2016 • Raise western levee of Walnut and Grayson Creeks for a 500 -yr storm event • FCD analysis showed that levees only have 30 -yr level of protection • Code requires minimum of 200 -yr plus 3' of freeboard • -$2.2M DRAFT 3 Final Project - HGL & Location r eY.[R�z RZ+.if'i y•.•!w•M J]'�O Central Sanitation District Levees on Lower Walnut Creek it Prop 1 E Grant Funding • Flood Control received Prop 1 E funding in the 1St phase of distribution for 50% of the total cost of a flood control project at Wild Cat Canyon. • Flood Control and CCCSD will split the remaining at 25% each. • Requires formal adoption of IRWMP (Integrated Regional Water Management Plan). 4 Flood Control District's Role • Lead agency • Grant application and administration • Produce design documents • Bid project • Construction inspection and management • 25% share of total project cost (- $550k) CCCSD's Role • Provide information as needed to Flood Control District • Review design and bid documents • Construction coordination along fenceline • 25% share of total project cost (- $550k) J Next Steps • Staff recommends adoption of Resolution today to comply with grant funding requirements. • Wait for announcement of Prop 1 E awards in August. • Review design by Flood Control 2013 -14. • Bid 2015. • Construction 2015 -2016. on
