CONTRACTUAL ASSESSMENT DISTRICT 2010 -1 BE COLLECTED ON THE
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY TAX ROLL

ISSUE: A resolution of the Board of Directors passed by four affirmative votes is
needed to place charges on the Contra Costa County tax roll for collection.
RECOMMENDATION: Conduct a public hearing; adopt a resolution directing that the
Fiscal Year (FY) 2012 -13 assessments for Sunnybrook Road Contractual Assessment
District (CAD) 2010 -1 be collected on the Contra Costa County tax roll.
FINANCIAL IMPACTS: This action will provide for the collection of $20,127.90 in
2012 -13 assessments from properties that are participating in the Sunnybrook Road
CAD.
ALTERNATIVES /CONSIDERATIONS: Not applicable.
BACKGROUND: The Board of Directors initially levied the final assessment for
Sunnybrook Road CAD 2010 -1 in Alamo at its July 7, 2011 meeting and the first year's
FY 2011 -12 assessments were placed on the Contra Costa County tax roll. Through a
clerical error, the second year's assessment was inadvertently omitted from the Board's
July 19, 2012 approved list of CADs, AVADs, Capacity Use Charges and other
installment payment programs to be placed on the FY 2012 -13 tax roll. A separate
Board approval is needed to add the FY 2012 -13 assessments for Sunnybrook Road
CAD 2010 -1 (shown in Exhibit A), at this time. A resolution (Exhibit B) has been
prepared to place the FY 2012 -13 assessments for this CAD on the tax roll.
RECOMMENDED BOARD ACTION: Conduct a public hearing; adopt a resolution
directing that the FY 2012 -13 assessments for Sunnybrook Road CAD 2010 -1 be
collected on the Contra Costa County tax roll.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CENTRAL CONTRA COSTA SANITARY DISTIRCT
DIRECTING THAT THE FISCAL YEAR (FY) 2012 -13 ASSESSMENT FOR
SUNNYBROOK ROAD CONTRACTUAL ASSESSMENT DISTRICT (CAD 2010 -1)
BE COLLECTED ON THE CONTRA COSTA COUNTY TAX ROLL
WHEREAS, the Central Contra Costa Sanitary District ( CCCSD) has entered into
written agreements with certain property owners who have formed Contractual
Assessment Districts to pay for sewer improvements over a ten -year period; and
WHEREAS, the CCCSD Code provides that CCCSD may elect to collect current
charges and delinquent charges on the tax roll as provided by Section 5470 and
following, of the California Health and Safety Code; and
WHEREAS, it is considered economical and efficient to collect the assessment for
Sunnybrook Road Contractual Assessment District (CAD 2010 -1) for FY 2012 -13 on
the Contra Costa County tax roll;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Directors of the CCCSD that the
FY 2012 -13 assessment for Sunnybrook Road Contractual Assessment District
(CAD 2010 -1) is listed in Exhibit 1 attached hereto and by this reference made a part
hereof, may be collected on the Contra Costa County Tax Roll.
Passed and adopted this 20th day of December, 2012 by the CCCSD Board of
