ISSUE: A resolution of the Board of Directors is required to execute quitclaim deeds
and record it and record the documents.
RECOMMENDATION: Adopt a resolution authorizing the President of the Board of
Directors and the Secretary of the District to execute Quitclaim Deeds and authorizing
staff to record the deeds with the Contra Costa County Recorder.
FINANCIAL IMPACTS: None.
ALTERNATIVES /CONSIDERATIONS: None.
BACKGROUND: In 2011 three APNs (171- 070 -005, -022, and -026) were combined to
form one new APN (171- 070 -041). An easement to the District was included in the new
parcel map for a new sewer location. Subsequently a new sewer was installed in the
new easement and the old sewer was abandoned. The old easements are no longer
needed. The recommended Board action would quitclaim the District's interest in the
old sanitary sewer easements to the owner of the new lot: Chicago Inland Empire, LLC.
RECOMMENDED BOARD ACTION: Adopt a resolution authorizing the President of
the Board of Directors and the Secretary of the District to execute Quitclaim Deeds to
Chicago Inland Empire, LLC, a California limited liability company, property owner of
2770 North Main Street in Walnut Creek, and authorizing staff to record said deeds with
the Contra Costa County Recorder.

AUTHORIZING EXECUTION AND RECORDING OF
QUITCLAIM DEEDS TO CHICAGO INLAND EMPIRE LLC, PROPERTY OWNER
2770 NORTH MAIN STREET, WALNUT CREEK
APN: 171- 070 -041; (JOB 491 — PARCELS 2 AND 3)
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Central Contra Costa Sanitary District
( "District ") as follows:
THAT the District hereby consents to the execution of the. Quitclaim Deed — Easement, dated
September 6, 2012, to Chicago Inland Empire LLC, property owner of 2770 North Main Street
in Walnut Creek (APN: 171- 070 -041), Job 491 — Parcel 2; and
THAT the District hereby consents to the execution of the Quitclaim Deed — Easement, dated
September 6,.2012, to Chicago Inland Empire LLC, property owner of 2770 North Main Street
in Walnut Creek (APN: 171- 070 -041), Job 491 — Parcel 3; and
THAT the President of the Board of Directors and the Secretary of the District are hereby
authorized to execute said deeds for and on behalf of the District; and
THAT staff is authorized to record said deeds in the office of the Recorder of Contra Costa
County.
