Call Meeting to Order Chair Nejedly called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m. 2. Public Comments None. 3. Old Business a. Receive staff's response to a question regarding the ergonomic study done by EORM, Inc. Staff discussed the interactive process and modified work program at the District and the costs involved with ergonomic assessments. COMMITTEE ACTION: Received the response. 4. Risk Management a. Review Loss Control Report COMMITTEE ACTION: Reviewed the report. Budget and Finance Committee July 18, 2011 Page 2 b. Discuss outstanding claims 1) Review Position Paper denying claim for damages submitted by Louis Pimentel (Item 3.d. in Board Binder) COMMITTEE ACTION: Recommended Board denial of the claim. c. Discuss new claims 1) Review new claims received, and of significant financial and/or legal impact. There were no new c/aims. COMMITTEE ACTION: None. 5. Expenditures a. Review Expenditures (Item 3.a. in Board Binder) COMMITTEE ACTION: Recommended Board approval. b. Review Legal Expenditure Summary Staff reported that the final legal expenses for June were being summarized, and the comprehensive legal report is expected to be available at the next Committee meeting. COMMITTEE ACTION: Reviewed Legal Expenditure Summary. 6. Reports and Announcements None. 7. Suggestions for future agenda items The Committee requested an update on outstanding delinquent fees. 8. Closed Session a. Conference with Legal Counsel - Anticipated Litigation - significant exposure to litigation pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(b) — One Potential Case — Ernie Guerrero Budget and Finance Committee July 18, 2011 Page 3 COMMITTEE ACTION: Held closed session. 9.
