The project would involve properties on Harper Lane, Pixie Lane, Harmony Court, Terry Lane, and Bradford Place. Separately, a private installer will be extending a public main into the neighborhood from Camino Amigo and along Calmar Vista to serve his recently acquired property and his neighbors. Household Hazardous Waste e) City Of San Ramon Request to Renegotiate the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Services Agreement The District provides household hazardous waste (HHW) collection services through an agreement with the City of San Ramon to the residents of the City who are not within the District service area. The existing agreement, originally signed in 1997, renews automatically each September unless either party notifies the other that they wish to terminate the agreement. Approximately 21 % of the homes in San Ramon are not served by the District (these homes receive sewer service from Dublin San Ramon Services District). Last year, the City of San Ramon paid $65,324 to the District for HHW collection services, which included one mobile HHW collection event held in San Ramon. The City of San Ramon recently implemented a door -to -door on call HHW collection program for its residents. Under this new City program, residents schedule an appointment for a service contractor to come out to the resident's home, and pick up and dispose of the resident's HHW. The City recently sent a letter to the District requesting that their contract be renegotiated to reflect decreased use of the District permanent Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility ( HHWCF) because of the new HHW on -call collection program. In addition to their new door -to -door program, the City desires to have the permanent HHWCF available as an option for its non - District residents. Staff plans to meet with City staff next week to discuss their concerns and possible options for a continued agreement. Staff will then develop some options for consideration and will convene a meeting of the District Household Hazardous Waste Committee to obtain their input. As appropriate, the matter will then be brought to the full District Board of Directors.
