Call Meeting to Order Chair Nejedly called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m. 2. Public Comments None. 3. Old Business a. Review outstanding questions 1) Breakdown of hours supporting Bob Murray and Associates invoice COMMITTEE ACTION: Chair Nejedly stated that the services of Bob Murray and Associates are too expensive and that the company took advantage of the District. He recommended that, in the future, the District should use a different firm for both executive recruitments and executive performance reviews. Budget and Finance Committee December 13, 2010 Page 2 4. Claims Management a. Review new and outstanding claims 1) New claim by Mr. Marc Limacher Staff reported that the claim by Mr. Limacher of $2,898.75 for reimbursement of restroom cleanup has been closed. All work was completed, and a release was received. A new claim where an overflow occurred under the home at 30 Iris Lane in Walnut Creek was discussed. The District paid for the occupants, a couple, to stay at a hotel for three nights. Cleaning and treatment has been performed at the residence, yet water continues to collect at the low point under his home from the surrounding yard areas. The rains have not allowed the area to dry. Staff is working with Block Environmental Services to complete the work. COMMITTEE ACTION: Received the report. 5. Review Expenditures (Item 3.a. in Board Binder) COMMITTEE ACTION: Recommended Board approval. 6. Review the GASB 45 October 2010 PARS Statement The Committee acknowledged that the District’s GASB 45 Trust investments have done very well over the last year, earning 13.22%. COMMITTEE ACTION: Received the report. 7. Reports and announcements None. 8. Adjournment – at 3:30 p.m.
