CALL MEETING TO ORDER Chair Hockett called the meeting to order at 4 p.m. 2. PUBLIC COMMENTS None. 3. RECYCLED WATER STORAGE TANK Member McGill wished to discuss the merits of designing a recycled water storage tank in order to pursue State and Federal funding. Ann Farrell reviewed a map of the recycled service area showing potential storage tank locations. There is no current need for additional storage, however if the recycled water system were expanded significantly, storage tanks could be needed. Member McGill was interested in the tank located in the Taylor Blvd/Morello Avenue location. Ms. Farrell indicated that the primary purpose of this tank was to serve the Lamorinda project through the Shell Pipeline. This project is no longer being pursued. There may still be a need for a smaller tank in this area in the future to back feed the rest of the system. Member McGill agreed to table this idea for now, but he will continue to study the situation and may have further questions regarding the need and desirability of adding recycled water storage tanks. COMMITTEE ACTION: Received the report. A "., Recycled Paper 4. ALHAMBRA VALLEY Curt Swanson reviewed the history and background of the Alhambra Valley Trunk Sewer Project for the benefit of new Board Member McGill, using a previous Board presentation (attached). There was a lengthy discussion of the drivers for the project, the developer's financial contribution, and the annexation process. Member McGill sought a more detailed understanding of the annexation process as it relates to the urban limit line and the nine properties currently included in the proposed annexation that are outside the urban limit line, in order to be fully briefed for the May 10, 2007 Board meeting. (This item will be discussed by the full Board at the May 10, 2007Board meeting.) COMMITTEE ACTION: Received the report. 5. COLLECTION SYSTEM OPERATIONS lCSO) IMPROVEMENTS Ann Farrell transmitted a binder of previous Board correspondence on the CSO Improvements Project to Board Member McGill and briefly walked him through its contents so that he can prepare for a full Board workshop on this topic to be held on May 15, 2007. Staff and Board Member Hockett answered Member McGill's initial questions on the material. COMMITTEE ACTION: Received the report. 6. REPORTS/ANNOUNCEMENTS None. 7.
