DOLAN General Manager-Chief Engineer DATE SUBJECT QUITCLAIM EASEMENTS IN SUBDIVISION 4915, JOB 3178, ROUNDHILL AREA AUTHORIZE EXECUTION OF QUITCLAIM OF EASEMENTS Denni s Ha 11 SUBMITTED BY ISSUE: This District has been requested to quitclaim various easements or portions thereof which were dedicated to the District on the map of Subdivision 4915. BACKGROUND: The original easements were not used because of adverse field conditions. Public sewers were constructed in different locations, and new easements have been granted to this District. Therefore, the unused easements are no longer required by this District. The grantees of the subject quitclaims are the current landowners, Moreland Development Company and Round Hill Estates North Property Owners Association. Processing fees have been paid. DOLAN P ITI N rAPER General Manager-Chief Engineer DATE SUBJECT January 27, 1983 TYPE OF ACTION ACCEPT DISTRICT PROJECT 3272, DECHLORINATION FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS, AND AUTHORIZE THE FILING OF THE NOTICE OF COt1PLETION PROJECT ACCEPTANCE SUBMITTED BY INITIATING DEPT./DIV. Jav S. McCov Construction and Services ISSUE: Work on the Dechlorination Project has been completed, and it is appropriate to file a Notice of Completion. BACKGROUND: The Dechlorination Project had an original, specified project length of five months. Because of changes and adverse weather, the length of time for the project was extended to a total of ten months. The revised project completion date was July 20, 1982. The contractor, D. W. Young Construction Co., Inc., has finally completed the work (with the exception of two minor punch list items) so that the contract can be accepted. Certain issues remain to be resolved in the project: . Two Stop Notices have been filed by subcontractors. . The contractor has been advised that liquidated damages will be assessed, and the contractor may file claims against the District. The action of filing a Notice of Completion allows the process of resolving the outstanding issues to proceed. RECOMMENDATION: Accept District Project 3272, Dechlorination Facility Improvements, and authorize the General t1anager~Chief Engineer to sign and file the Notice of Completion.
