BOARD ACTION: None
3. AWARDS AND COMMENDATIONS:
a. Resolution No. 99-031 - Commending Roger J. Dolan, General Manager-
Chief Engineer, for his service to the Central Contra Costa Sanitary District
BOARD ACTION: Adopted Resolution No. 99-031 and expressed the deep
appreciation of the Board and staff to Roger J. Dolan for his
contributions to the District and to the wastewater industry
4. CONSENT CALENDAR:
Staff recommends the following:
a. Adopt Resolution No. 99-032 accepting work and Offers of Dedication from
Mardel LLC, Cross Bridge Drive, Danville area, and authorize recording
b. Authorize Medical Leave of Absence Without Pay for James Desurne,
Accounting Technician, through September 1999 or until his State
Compensation Insurance Fund claim is resolved
BOARD ACTION: Consent Items a. and b. approved as recommended,
resolutions adopted as appropriate, and recordings duly
authorized

4) Announcement concerning appointment of Mr. Jay S. McCoy as
provisional Director of Engineering and appointment of Mr. Curt
Swanson, as provisional Environmental Services Division Manager
effective March 31, 1999
5) Announcement concerning participation of Mr. Paul Morsen, Director
of Administration, in the City of Concord's Y2K Summit which was
televised by TCI on March 16, 1999, and a California Water
Environmental Association seminar presentation by Mr. Sam
Grossman, the District's consultant coordinating the Plant's Y2K
efforts
6) Announced that the District is advertising for bids for the Recycled
Water Project - High Turbidity Water Diversion Project and the UV
Hydraulic Improvements Project
7) Announcement concerning rescue of a dog from a storm drain by the
Collection System Operations Department on-call crew
8) Announcement concerning March 31, 1999 event to celebrate the
change in General Managers at the District

BOARD ACTION: President Lucey requested that a Closed Session be scheduled
at the April 1, 1999 Board Meeting for the Board to instruct
its labor negotiators
Member Nejedly introduced Mr. Ryan Nelson, a Political
Science student from Los Medanos College, who was present
in the audience

a. Conference with real property negotiators Paul Morsen and Ken Laverty
pursuant to Section 54956.8 of the Government Code - Negotiations with
Contra Costa County concerning 4849 Imhoff Place, Martinez, California,
and adjacent properties
BOARD ACTION: Held Closed Session from 2:46 p.m. to 3:28 p.m. as noted
above
