MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING
OF THE DISTRICT BOARD
CENTRAL CONTRA COSTA SANITARY DISTRICT
HELD SEPTEMBER 16, 1964
The District Board of Central Contra Costa Sanitary District convened
in a Special Session at its regular place of meeting located at 1250
Springbrook Road, Walnut Creek, County of Contra Costa, State of California,
on September 16,1964, at 8:00 o'clock P.M.
The meeting was called to order by President Mitchell.

11r. John Nejedly, District Attorney, Contra Costa County, stated that
he had requested the Special Meeting to discuss with the Members of the
District Board the problems facing the County relative to preserving the
quality of water in the rivers and bay along Contra Costa County's shore
line.
Mr. Nejedly reviewed the history of the State's water problems and in
particular t~at part affecting Contra Costa County.
Mr. Nejedly reviewed certain plans of the State and Federal Government
to divert certain waste discharge water into the waters bordering Contra
Costa County.
Mr. Nejedly stated that Congressman Baldwin was working on legislation
to regulate the quality of waste water to be discharged into waters around
Contra Costa County, and suggested the District adopt a Resolution supporting
Congressman Baldwin's legislation.

ADJOURNMENT
At 8:55 o'clock P.M., the meeting was adjourned by President Mitchell
to September 17,1964.
