RECESS MEETING OF THE SANITARY BOARD OF THE
CENTRAL CONTRA COSTA SANITARY DISTRICT HELD
JANUARY 23, 1941.

triot convened in a recess meeting at its regular place of meeting in
the Veteran's Memorial Hall located at the Southeast corner of Mt. Diablo
and Looust Streets in Walnut Creek, California, in said Sanitary District
on the 23rd day of January, 1947, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m.
The meeting was called. to order by Lawson H. Weill, the Presi-

dent of the said Sam tary Board.
On calling of the roll. the following were present:

Present: Directors Johnson, Toland, Tuttle, Wadsworth
and President Weill
:MINUTES APPROVED
The reading of the minutes of the last meeting were waived
and they were approved as entered by the following vote.
Ayes: Direotors Johnson, Toland, Tuttle, Wadsworth
and President Weill
SEAL APPROVED
Upon motion made by Direotor 'roland, seconded by
Direotor Wadsworth and unanimously carried, the
seal as impressed at the margin of this paragraph
was approved as the official seal of the Central
Contra Costa Sanitary Distriot, County of Contra
Costa, State of California.
ALAUo-D.M1VILLE BOND ACCEPTED AND FILED
The personal bond in the sum 01' Five Hundred and OO/IOOths
($500.00) Dollars of Maurioe L. 1Æarotte conditioned upon the payment by
the Petitioners of the Alamo-Danville Territory proposed to be annexed
to the Sanitary Distriot of the reasonable costs of the annexation in the
event that at such election less than a majority of the votes cast are in
favor of annexation was presented.

On motion of Director Toland. seconded by Director Wadsworth
and unanimously carried, the bond so presented was approved and the
Secretary was di reoted to file the same.
BOND FOR PROPOSED ORINDA AmrEXATION
Mr. Wal tar Freiburg appeared before the Board with the
Petition for the annexation of the Orinda Area north of the Crossroads
for annexation.
The matter of the bond to accompany the Petition was
discussed wi th the Board.
After discussion by the Board, the Board
instructed Mr. Freiburg to accompany the Petition by a cash or surety
company bond in the sum of One Thousand and OO/lOOth ($1.000) Dollars
or a personal bond in the sum of One Thousand Five Hundred and OO/lOOths
($1500) Dollars.
BETZ AN1-TEXATION REFERRED TO ENGINEER
Clarence E. Betz. 91 Orinda Highway. presented a Petition
for Annexatian of certain territory immediately adjoining the District.
His Petition being one for annexation without an election upon a Petition
signed by owners of real property representing at least Seventy Five (75%)
percent of the total assessed valuation of the territory as shown by the
last equalized county assessment roll.
The Petition was referred to the
District Engineer for approval of the description of the territory oon-
tained in the Petition.
PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF CONTRA COSTA
COUNTY SUB-DIVISION ORDINANCE
It was moved by Director Tuttle, seconded by Direotor Wads-
worth and unanimously carried, that the Contra C08 ta Caunty Board of
Supervisors be requested to amend the "Contra Costa County Sub-Division
ardinance" to require that tentative sub-division maps be submitted to
the Distriot Engineer of the Sanita~ District for all new sub-divisions
lying in whole or in pa rt wi thin the Sanitary Di stri ct so the t reoommenda-
tions may be made to the County Planning Commission for the location of
streets, rights-of-way, or easements for sewers.
Upon motion duly made. seconded end carried, the Board ad-

journed to January 30. 1947.
