HomeMy WebLinkAboutBOARD MINUTES 04-08-48 111 MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE SANITARY BOARD OF CENTRAL CONTRA COSTA SANITARY DISTRICT HELD APRIL 8. 1948 The Sanitary BoArd of the Central Contra Costa Sanitary District convened in special session at its regular place of meeting located at 1335 Commerdial Lane, in the City of Walnut Creek, County of Contra Costa, State of California, on the 8th day of April, 1948, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m. The meeting was called to order by President Weill. Due to the absence of Secretary Cutler it was moved by Director Wadsworth and seconded by Director Toland that Mrs. Phillips be appointed Secretary Pro. Tem. Carried unanimously. The following roll was called: PRESENT: ABSENT: Directors Johnson, Smitten, Toland,Wadsworth and Weill. None. READING OF MINUTES It was moved by Director Wadsworth, seconded by Director Toland that the reading of the Minut.s of the last meeting be waived, and be approved as entered. Carried unanimously. DEEDS OF DEDICATION FOR SEWER EASEM:ßN TS The following resolutions were offered by Director Johnson seconded by Director Toland: RESOLUTION NO. 139 WHEREAS, THEODORE R. REEDY and MILDRED I. REEDY, have granted a Deed of Dedication for sewer easement over a portion of Lot 32 of the Goodman Tract, also known as Parcel 30 of Local Improvement District No.2. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said Deed of Dedication be, and same is hereby accepted, and the Recorder of Contra Costa County be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to record said deed. The foregoing schedule of prevailing rates ~ wages, and rates for overtime, Sunday and Legal Holidays, is based, unless otherwise specified, upon a working day of 8 hours. Overtime and Saturday rates for Truck Drivers shall be at 1-1/2 times the normal hourly rate. The first two hours overtime, after a normal 8 hour day, for CementFinish~rs shall be at 1-1/2 times the normal rate and further overtime shall be at double the normal rate. Saturday work for Cem- ent Finishers shall be at 1-1/2 times the normal rate for the first 8 hours worked and at double the normal rate for all further time worked on Saturdays. Notice is also hereby given the bidders that it shall be mand- atory upon the contractor to whom the contract is awarded, and upon all subcontractors under him, to pay not less than said general pre- vailing rates of per diem wages, as above listed, to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics employed in the execution of the contract.
