CENTRAL CONTRA COSTA SANITARY DISTRICT
HEID MARCH 15, 1962
The District Board of Central Contra Costa Sanitary District convened
in an Adjourned Regular Session at its regular place of meeting located at
1250 Spring brook Road, Walnut Creek, County of Contra Coeta, State of
California, on March 15, 1962, at 8:00 o'clock P.K.
The meeting was called to order by President Mitchell.

II. APPROVAL OF MDlJTES
The Minutes of the meeting of March 1, 1962, were approved as presented.
III. APPROVAL OF EXPENDITURES
It was IIIOved by' Member Gibbs, seconded by Member Bowan, that the expendi-
tures, as audited by the Auditing CoJlllldttee and as submitted by the District
Manager-Engineer, be approved, reference being specifically made to Sewer
Construction Vouchers Numbers 1381 and 1382, and Running Expense Vouchers
Numbers 9181 to 9201, inclusive. Carried by the following vote:

NOES: Members: lone

Mr. Horstkotte,. District Manager-Engineer, explained that a change in
the description of the property sold to the County for the dog pound. was
necessary.
After the explanation, it was moved b;r Member Gibbe, seconded by Member
Roemer, that the Quit Claim Deed frO81 the County for the 2.00 acre parcel be
accepted and its recording ordered and the President alii Secretary be
authorized to execute the Deed to the County: for the 2.07 acre site. Carried
by the following vote:
AYES : Members: Gibbs, Roemer, Salfingere, Bowman and Mitchell
NOES : Members: None
ABSENT: Members: None
QUIT CUlM DEED TO ALBERT C. MOHR, ET At
Mr. Horstkotte, District Manager-Engineer, stated that the property
owners were relocating the sewers at their expense.

It was moved by Member Roemer, seconded by KUJber Bowman, that the
President and Secretary be authorized to execute the Quit Claim Deed to
Albert C. Mohr, et ale Carried by the following vote:

ACCEPTANCE OF EASDŒNTS
It was moved by Member Bowman, seconded by Member Gibbs, that easements
from Albert C. Mohr, et aI, and William G. Palikaris, et aI, 'be" accepted and
their recording ordered. Carried by the following vote:

Letter from Tho.s F. McBride, attorney for Mrs. Glidden, relative to
protection of trees in the easement area and providing for payment if trees
are destroyed, was read.
Mr. Horstkotte, DiStrict Manager-Engineer, stated that $325.00 has been
deposited with the District to cover the cost of the possible damage to the
eleven poplar trees at $25.00 each am the one pine tree at $50.00.
. It was IIOved by Member Roemer, seconded by Member Bowman, that the
easement from Margaret B. Glidden be accepted, subject to the tenu of the
letter from Mr. Thomas F. McBride, attorney for Mrs. Glidden, aDi its
recording ordered. Carried by the following vote:

CONNECTION CHARGES

Mr. Rolley of Lafayette protested the additional connection charge for
adding a bath to his home.
The Ordinances providing for this charge were explained to Mr. Rolley
by Members of the Board am Mr. Horøtkotte, District Manager-Bngineer.

Mr. Horstkotte reported that District personnel were currently making
bay water tests required by the State Vater Pollution Control Board.

In answer to Member Bowman, Mr. Horstkotte stated that the Diatrict
evidently was not considered as part of the study program proposed by Johns
Hopkins University.
COUEEL FOR THE DISTRICT
HENDRICKS LITIGATION
Mr. John Bohn, Counsel for the District, reported that the Hendricks

suit for additional damage after signing a release of claim was decided in
faVor of the District.
VIII. ADJOURNMENT
At 8:50 o'clock P.M., the meeting was adjourned by President Mitchell
to April 5,1962.
