MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED MEETING
OF THE DISTRICT BOARD
CENTRAL CON'l'RA COSTA SANITARY DISTRICT
HELD OCTOBER 30,1952
The District Board of Central Contra Costa Sanitary Listrict convened
in adjourned session at its regular place of meeting located at 1822 Mount
Diablo Boulevard, City of Walnut Creek, County of Contra Costa, State of
California, on October 30, 1952, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m.
The meeting was called to order by President Johnson.

The Minutes of the meeting of October 2,1952, were read and were
approved as entered.
SCHEDULE FOR CONNECTION TERMS
Continuation of the discussion on the proposed ordinance establishing
schedule of connection terms was put over to the next meeting of the Dist-
rict Board.
REQUEST TO HIRE A FŒLIEF OPBRArl'OR
FOR TH~ TREATMENT PLANT
Request to hire a relief operator for the treatment plant was put
over to'the next meeting of the District Board.
HEARING ON 1rJORK AND A3SESS!-ŒNT POR
LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 23
President Johnson opened the hearing on the work and assessment
for Local Improvement District No. 23; he requested the Attorney to
explain to the people present the procedures followed in levying
assessments in local improvement districts.
,Member Spieg1 requested that'a.¡l'protefts be heard before any action
was taken. '
Protests against the work were received from:
O'Harra and S. W. Smith.

Protests against the amount of assessment were received from:
Marguerita KeeslinG, Gerhard Burde, Kenneth J. St. Clair, Helen Wilcox
'Corbett, Ralph T. Hickcox, Lucille ~reuler, Fayetta H. Philip, W. Sayer

It was moved by Member Roemer, seconded by Member Salfingere, that
the $90.00 assessment on a portion of a lot belonging to ~~ank Cataline
(Assessment Number 23-12-21) that has already been fully assessed be
removed. Carried by the following ~ote: .
AYES: Members Roemer, 'Salfingere and Johnson
NOES: None
ABSTATNING: Member Spiegl
ABSENT: Member Malott
It was moved by Member Roemer, seconded by Member Salfingere, that
Lots 71 and 72, Haciendas del Orinda, Unit 5, which were assessed 3/4
válue each be reassessed, Lot 71 (Assessroont Number 23-12-4) be assessed
full value and Lot 72 (Assessment Number 23-12-5) be assessed 1/4 value.

The District Board directed the Office Manager to send letters
to all property owners in Lac al Improvement District No. 23, similar
to the letter sent to Robert Lee st. Clair, giving the breakdown of
the contract cost and the incidental expenses for this local Improve-
!:'lent district. .
The District Board directed that a post card be sent to property
owners who had used more than one lot as a building site notifying
them that there would be no modification of assessments on these
properties and each lot would receive a full unit of assessment.
All other protests were held over for furi~er investigation and
consideration.
President Johnson continued the hearing on the work and assess-
ment for Local Improvement District No. 23 to November 6, 1952, at
8:00 o'clock p.m.
HALUK EASEI"IENT
The District Board directed the Attorney to get in touch with
Mr. Monaco, attorney for Mr. Haluk, to see what final disposition
can b e made of the matter.
RESIGNATION OF II'ŒY1BER HALOT'r
President Johnson ffill1ounced that he had received a letter of
resignation from Mr. William Malott, Member of the District Board.
ADJOURNMENT
President Johnson adjourned the meeting to November 6,1952,
at 8:00 o'clock p.m.
