MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING
OF THE DISTRICT BOARD OF CENTRAL
CONTRA COSTA SANITARY DISTRICT HELD
JANUARY 3. +952
The Distriot Board of Central Contra Costa Sanitary District
convened in regular session at its regular place of meeting located
at 1822 Mt. Diablo Boulevard, City of Walnut Creek, County of Contra
Costa, State of California on January ), 1952, at 8:00 o'clock p.m.
The meeting was called to order by Vice-President Toland, and
the roll was called:

READING OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and were approved
as -entered.
RE SEWER SERVICE FOR JUNIOR COLLEGE
A proposal for sewer service from the Junior College, dated
December 18,1951, offering payment of $25,000 plus 40~ per capita
per year, plus construction of the sewer line was read. Letters
from the County Health Department and the State Board of Health
urging the District to negotiate an agreement with the Junior College
were read.

Mr. Roy E. Ramseier addressed the Board, stating that he hoped
some agreement could be reached that would be fair to both parties.
Member Wadsworth, seconded by Member Smitten, moved that the
the matter be tabled until the return of President Johnson, to be
discussed by the Board at a special meeting to be called. Carried
by the following vote:

EAST BAY PROPt<'.RTIES IN ORINDA
Mr. Phil Wagner of East Bay Municipal Utility District pointed
out on a map a series of small parcels of land that they wished to
have annexed to the Sanitary District. Mr. Wagner was requested to
furnish further details for the Board's consideration, including
the area and land use of the properties.
LICENSE AGREEMENT FOR LAS HEURTAS
SACRA~ŒNTO NORTHERN RAILWAY
It was moved by Member Wadsworth, seconded by Member Malott,
that the President and Secretary be authorized to execute agreement
with Sacramento Northern Railway for sewer crossing for the Las
Huertas job, with payment of $5.00. Carried by the following vote:

SEWER LINES AT LAKE CAS~ADE
A complaint from Mr. G. H. Keesling that the sewer lines at
Lake Cascade were a hazard to children was read. The Engineer and
Attorney were requested to investigate and report to the Board.
CONSTRUCTION OF MANHOLE AT BONANZA AND
LOCUST STREETS, WALNUT CREEK
It waS moved by Member Wadsworth, seconded by Member Smitten,
that the Board accept the low bid of D. K. Young,in the amount of
$720.00 for construction of a manhole at Bonanza and Locust.

CONNECTION TERMS - P. ,W. FAULCONER PROPERTY
It was moved by Member Smitten, seconded by Member Wadsworth,
that connection fee be waived for Lot 37, Oak Springs Addition No.
2, as the public sewer extended would give full service to the lot
across the street. Carried by the following vote:

DAN C. PEACOCK COMPLAINT RE ORINDA FIRE HOUSE
Letter from Mr. Dan C. Peacock, Jr., requested an audience with
the Board in the event that a parcel of land at the end of Lombardy
Lane in Orinda was offered for annexation, for the purpose of con-
structing a fire station.
The Board instructed the Manager to notify Mr. Peacock that
the land would not be considered for annexation, but that sewer
service on a contract basis had already been offered.
SERVICE TO PROPERTY SOUTHERLY OF ARBUTUS COURT
The Engineer was instructed to make a further study and rec-
comendation on sewer service to the property southerly of Arbutus
court.

It was moved by Member Wadsworth, seconded by Member Smitten,
that bills as approved by the Manager and audited by the Committee
