MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING
OF THE DISTRICT BOARD OF CENTRAL CO NTRA
COSTA SANITARY DISTRICT HELDDE~ER 7.1950
The District Board of Central Contra Costa Sanitary.District con-
vened in regular session at its regular place of meeting located at
1822 Mt. Diablo Boulevard, in the City of Walnut Creek, County of
Contra Costa, State of California, on December 7, 1950, at 8:00 o'clock
p. m.
The meeting waS called to order by President Johnson, and the
following roll was called:

Members Malott, Toland, Wadsworth and Johnson
Member Smitten.
Member Smitten arrived immediately after roll call.
READING OF MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING
The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and were approved
as entered.
CONTINUATION OF HEARING L.I.D. NO. 17
The President opened the continued hearing for Local Improvement
District No. 17.
Evidence having been produced that the Pacific Gas and Electric
Company would not abandon the easement across Mr. Frank W. Draeger's
property, assessment against that property was discussed.
It was moved by Member Wadsworth, seconded by Member Malott and
unanimously carried that Mr. Draeger's property be relieved of all
assessment, and the amount of the assessment be redistributed equally
over the remaining parcels of land in Local Improvement District No.

Mr'. Richard E. Lee stated that he was not/satisfied with the
restoration of his propert,y, but that the cont ractor had made an
honest effort to effect proper cleanup. Mr. Lee said he would not
complain further.
'The District Engineer informed the Board that there had been
some storm damage and minor failures, and one claim filed against
the .Contractor by Cleverdon Company. .
The President continued the hearing on Local Improvement District
No. 17 to December 21,1950 at 8:00 o'clock p.m.
ADDITIONAL PUMPS FOR ORINDA STATIONS
It was moved by Member Smitten, seconded by Member'Wadsworth, and
unanimously carried that the Board authorize the Manager to purchase
and install additional pumping equipment for the Orinda Pumping Plants
at & cost not to exceed $18,000.
COHNENC:ï:NG PHOCEEDINGS FOR L. I.D. NO. 22
SLEEPY HOLLOW AREA
It was moved by Member Smitten, seconded by Member Wadsworth, and
unanimously carried that the Board authorize the District Engineer to
proceed with plans and specifications, preparation of resolution of
intention and other steps toward the formal establishment of Local
Improvement District No. 22.

MEETING FOR LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO.2,
The Manager was instructed to arrange for a meeting to be held
in the second week of January with the property owners in the area
to be known as Local Improvement District No. 23, Haciendas Del
Orlnda area.
lvlAINTENANCE CREW AND EQUIPMENT
The Manager was instructed to furnish the Board with more facts
and figures on costs of establishing a District Maintenance Depart-
ment, for the next meeting.
REQUEST FOR EXTENSION OF TIME - LID 13
P. & J. ARTUKOVICH, CONTHACTOR
By letter of December 7,1950, P. & J. Artukovich requested an
extension of contract time for their work on Local Improvement
District No. 13,
It was moved by Member Smitten, seconded by Member Wadsworth,
and unanimouiy carried that reQuest of extension of time for Local
Improvement District No. 13 contract be denied.
FLOOD CONTROL
The Manager was instructed to draft a letter to the Board of
Supervisors of Contra Costa County, concurring in their intention
to establish Flood Control for the area draining into Walnut Creek.
PAYMENT OF BILLS
It was moved by Member Wadswath, seconded by Member Smitten,
and unanimously carried, that bills as approved by the Manager and
,audited by the Auditing Committee be paid, with the exception of
bill from D. K. Young in the amount of $272.47.
