MI~ruTES OF AN ADJOU~NED MEETING OF
THE DISTRICT BOARD OF CENTRAL CONTRA
COSTA SANITARY DISTRICT HELD APRIL 13, 1950
The District Board of central Contra Costa Sanitary District
convened in adjourned session at its regular place of meeting
located at 1822 Mt. Diablo Boulevard, City of Walnut Creek, County
of Cont ra Costa, State of Cellfornla, at the hour of 8: OQ. o' clock pm.
The meeting was called to order by President Wadsworth and the
following roll was called:
PRESENT:
Members Johnson, Smitten, Toland, Cornwall and Wads-
worth.
ABSENT:
Members - None
READING OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
. The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and were approved
as e nt ered.
HEARING ON ASSESSMENTS~LOCAL
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO.7
The Engineer ~xplained the method of procedure for a local
improvement district, the method of assessment and the method of
payment.
The Secretary reBd the names af the protestants, as follows:
R. S. Bassett; E. F. Cardin, Jr.; Wm. T. McCaffrey; H. L. Negley;
B. F. Welch; M. Reich; M. P. Petersen; C. G. Lewis; Mrs. Grace'
Franke; R. A. Buchanan; A. E. Stiefvater; N. Macauley;
and they were advised that their properties would be inspected
again.
The following people were heard from the floor:
Legan; Blanch P. Neal.
O. L. King; C. T.
The President advised the protestants that their letters would
be reviewed, and instructed the Engineer to inspect the work
complaints. The President adjourned the hearing to April 18, 1950
at 8:00 o'clock p.m.
FINAL INCIDENTAL EXPENSES FOR
LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO.4
It was moved by Member Smitten, seconded by Member Toland,
and unanimously carried, that $41,910.25 received from John L.
Mason, said sum representing the incidental expenses incurred and
not previously reimbursed to the Sanitary District, and the est-
imated be.lance of incidental expenses to be further incurred, at
the date of delivery of the warrant and assessment on Local
Improvement District No.4, which sum was paid to said John L.
Mason upon delivery of said warrant and assessment, be disbursed
as approved by the District Manager after receipt of bills duly
rendered as follows:
$1,290.03 for legal services for Local Improvement District
No.4 to be paid pursuant to contract therefor as
follows:

the balance of said sum for incidental expenses to
be deposited to the credit of the Running Expense
Fund of Central Contra Costa Sanitary District to
reimburse said fund for monies heretofore advanced
for incidental expenses incurred by the Sanitary
District for Local Improvement District No.4 and
for which the Sanitary District has not previously
received payment, and to pay further costs for in-
cidental expenses for Local Improvement District
No.4 as bills for such expenses are received and
authoriz.ed for payment by the Di strict. B.oard a.fter
approval by the District Me.nager and audit bj' the
BoHrd.
The President and Secretary are hsreby authorized and directed to
execute the necessary warrants to pay the charges above mentioned.
PAYMENT OF BILL FOR AUDIT BY
HANLIN, MOONIE & COMPANY
It was moved by Member Smitten, seconded by Member Cornwall and
unanimously carried, that the Board authorize payment. of the b111
for audit of the District's books presented by Hanlin, Moonie and
Company in the amount of $1742.50.
Member Toland wished to go on record that he would like some
discussion as to the future policy with Hanlin, Moonie and Company
for audits.
RE APPOINTMENT OF ASSISTANT DISTRICT
ENG INE ER
Decision on appointment of an assist~nt district engineer WaS
tabled for one week.
A~REEMENT WITH SACRAMENTO 'NORTHE~RAILWAY
BIBDHAVEN SUBDIVISION
It was moved by Member Johnson, seconded by Member Toland, and
unanimously carried that the Board authorize the President and
Secretary to execute the agreement with the Sacramento Northern
Railway for crossing their right of way to sewer Birdhaven Subdiv-.
ision.
SEViER CONNECTION FEE FOR J. B. GREEN.
PIERSON WAY
It was moved by Member 5m~tten, seconded by Member Cornwall that
the Boa~d set the. connection fee in the amount of $62.50 for sewer
connection of the property of J. B. Green on Pierson Ttla.y to Main
Trunk Section I.
ADJOURNfvlENT
President Wadsworth adjourned the meeting to April 18, 1950 at
8:00 o'clock p.m.
