MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE
DISTRICT BOARD OF CENTRAL CONTRA COSTA
SANITARY DISTRICT HELD FEBRUARY 2.1950
~he District Board of Central Contra Costa Sanitary District con-
vened in regular session at its regular place of meeting located at
l822.Mt. Diablo Boulevard, in the City of Walnut Creek, County of
Contra Costa, State of California, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m.,
on Februa.ry 2, 1950. .
The meeting was called to order by President Wadsworth and the
fol19wing roll was called: .

READING OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS HEETING
The Minutes of the previous Meeting were read and corrected as
follows:
Page 199 - "Cost to Walnut Creek School District for,work of
Local Improvement District 9" was changed from
"... would be in the smount of $5,000..." to
"... would be in an amount not to exceed $5,000.."
The Minutes were approved as corrected.
REQUEST FOR SENERS - PLEASANT HILL
IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION

A letter from the Pleasant Hill Improvement Association by C. N.
Perry, President, dated Jenuary 25, 1950, was read. ,The Associa-'
tion,requested sewer service in the area between Boyd Road and Gregory
Lane~
~essrs. Stone and White told the Board of the need for sewers.
The ~oard advised that they desired the residents of the area to be
info~med that if sewer were installed there would be assessments on
thei~ properties to cover the costs, and requested a petition signed
by 90 property owners of that area be secured and presented to the
Board.
REQUEST FOR SEWERS - ORINDA ESTATES

~ petition dated January 5, 1950, signed'by 34 pròperty owners
in the Orinda Estates, requested sewers be installed. The matter was
held.for the next meeting for additional information from the Engineer.
REQUEST FOR SEWERS - SLEEPY HOLLOW

Å delegation from Sleepy Hollow requested specifió information as
to costs of sewers to serve their section, the proceedings and bound-
ary of a local improvement district for Sleey Hollow, and how many
residents would be required to sign a petition for sewers.
~he Engineer was instructed to mark a map giving tentative bound-
arie~, and to prepare an estimate of over-all cost to the area.
PAYl<1ENT OF BILLS
It was moved by Member Smitten, seconded by Member Toland, and
unan~mously carried that the bills as audited by the Committee and
approved by the Manager be paid:

By letter of Janu~ry 25, 1950, Stolte, Inc. transmitted legal
opinion from E. A. Wilson, relative to their request for payment
of $1573.50 ommitted from the assessment roll for Local Improve-
mentDistrict No. 12.
By written opinion dated February 3, 1950, the Attorney for the
District advised the Board there was no way in which the District
could reimburse Stolte, Inc. for their loss.

ADJOURNMENT
The President adjourned the meeting to February 9, 1950 at 11:00
o'clock a.m., to receive bids on the $30,000 Pacheco and Highway
Junction Bond Issue of 1948.
