MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE
DISTRICT BOARD OF CENTRAL CONTRA COSTA
SANITARY DISTRICT HELD NOVEMBER 25. 1949
The District Board of Central Contra Costa Sanitary District
convened in adjourned session at its regular place of meeting
located at 1822 Mt. Diablo Boulevard, in the City of Walnut Creek,
County of Contra Costa, state of California, at the hour of 8:00
o'clock p.m., on November 25, 1949.
The meeting WaS called to order by President Wadsworth and the
following roll was called:
PRESENT:
"Members Cornwall, Johnson, Smitten, Toland "and Wadsworth.
ABSENT:
Members - None.
READING OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and were approved
as entered.
PURCHASE OF RADlÅ’ PROPERTY
It was moved by Member Cornwall, seconded by Member Toland,
and unanimously carried that the Board authorize the President and
Secretary to place the balance of purchase price in the amount of
$3,000 and closing costs in the amount of $71. in escrow for the
purchase of the rear portion of the Radke property, and to accept
the Deed for recordation.
COSTS FOR PETITION PREPARATION
ALAMO DANVILLE DIABLO ANNEXATION
It was moved by Member Cornwall, seconded by Member Toland,
and unanimously carried that the guaranty check in the amount of
$800 be deposited in the Running Expense Fund to cover costs in-
"curred by the District for the Alamo Danville Diablo annexation
petition preparation in the amount of $609.11, and the balance of
$190.89 be returned to the San Rp.mon Valley Sanitary Committee.
REQUEST FOR CONSTRUCTION OF SEWER
IN AVENIDA DE ORINDA
At the meeting of Novemb?r 17, the Board instructed the ManRger
to notify the Engineer to construct a sewer in Avenida de Orinda
at his expense.
The Engineer reported to the Board that the affected properties
had not been given a full assessment; that their assessment would
be rRised from $115.25 to $461 in the event the sewer was con-
structed; that they could construct their own sewer for a cost of
approximately $80 per lot.
The President stated he would contact the property owners for
their opinion and desires in the matter, and would Y'eport at the
next Board meeting.

AUTHORITY TO COMMUNICATE WITH
ATTORNEYS FOR STATE HIGHWAY DIVISION
Mr. Harrison informed the Board that he and Mr. Brailsford had
received a letter from Mr. Mason, in which he had enclosed correS-
pondence from the attorneys for the State Division of Highways,
relative to assessment of State properties, and requested that the
Board give authority to enter into discussion with said attorneys.
The Board authorized Messrs. Harrison and Brailsford to commun-
icRte with the attorneys for the State Highway Division.
HEARING ON ASSESSìv1ENT ROLL' FOR
LOCAL IMP~OVEMENT DISTRICT No.6
Letters of protest against the assessment and work of Local
Improvement District No.6 were received from the following prop-
~rty owners:

The protests were considered by the Board, and the protestants
were advised that the Board would investigate further. The 'President
continued the hearing to December 1, 1949.

ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned to December 1, 1949 at 8:00 o'clock
p.m. by President Wadsworth.
