The District Board of Central Contr~ Costa Sanitary District convened
in an Adjourned Regular Session at its regular place of meeting located at
l822 Mt. Diablo Boulevard, City of W ølnut Creek, County of Cont ra Costa,
State of California, on March 22, 1956, at 8:00 o'clock P.M.
The meeting was called to order by President Roemer.

The Minutes of the meeting of March 15,1956, were approved as presented.

OLD BUSINESS
PRELIMINARY PLANS AND COST ESTIMATE FOR NEW OFFJCE BUILDING
Mr. William Corlett of Corlett & Spackman. Architects retained to
prepare plans and specifications, presented the plans for the new office
building and, together with Mr. Horstkotte, District Manager, explained 1;he
layout.
Mr. Corlett presented a break down of the estimated cost of $104,012.00.
Members of the Board discussed enlarging the s1ze of the Board Room as
shown on the plans. Mr. Corlett explained that to increase the length
approximately ten feet wou~d be a simple problem and would cost approximately
$1,7oo~00 additional.
Mr. Horstkotte, District Manager, was asked about the additional costs
for the site development and summarized the estimated cost as follows:

Mr. Horstkotte explained that certain of the above items did not have to
be completed in the near fu ture.

It was moved by Member Fisher, seconded by Member Spiegl, that Corlett
& Spackman be authorized to proceed in accordance with preliminary plans
and cost estimate and develop final plans and specifications including
approximately ten feet to be added to the Board Room.. Carried by the
following vote!:

BISHOP LANE CREEK CROSSING. 19" ~LOOD DAMAGE RECONSTRUCTION II
Mr. Horstkotte, District M81ager, presented plans and specifications
for repair of the Bishop Lane Creek Crossing.
It was moved by"Member Mitchell, seconded by Member Fisher, that the
plans and specifications for the repair of the Bishop Lane Creek Crossing,
1955 Flood Damage Reconstruction II, be adopted and the work authorized.

TlMB ALL<J\IEDroR CASH PAYMFNT OF LOCAL IMPROVBÅ’NT DISTRICT NO. 30 ASSBSSMFNTS
Member.Salfingere called attention to the time allowed for cash payment
of Local Improvement District No. 30 assessments after receipt of notice,
stating. he had received complaints regarding the short period remaining for-
payment. .

Mr. Horstkotte, District Manager, explained that the District could not
control the time element.
MEEnNG OONCERNING ORINDA PUMPING STATIONS
Member Spiegl reported that he had been contacted by the Directors of the
Orinda Association on behalf of the residents in the area of the. pumping stations
concerning the noise and appearance and asked that Mr. Horstkotte, along with
himself, meet with the residents on April 7,1956, to discuss the problem.

At 10:00 o'clock P.M.. the meeting was adjourned by President Roemer to
April 5,1956.
